Roles and responsibilities
Transition Officers provide holistic support to Olympians before, during, and after their transition out of sport, ensuring continuity of care over time. They assess individual needs and deliver tailored guidance on life skills, mental health, and employability while maintaining regular follow-up for at least three years after retirement. They also collaborate with relevant professionals, monitor progress through the PORTAL platform, and promote inclusive support initiatives for athletes with fewer opportunities.
